SMP Episode #039: Suicide Squad

What do you get when you create an ensemble movie, starring some of the biggest stars in Hollywood, an promote them all as a main character? Well if you are Jared Leto you get butt hurt because some of your scenes were cut. To be fair it is the opinion of AJ and I, Jax, that someone at the studio made changes to the film outside of the cast's, director's, and editor's original vision to "improve" box office results. Or you know this is just the breaks kid. Either way, 'Suicide Squad' is a good fun end of summer romp that I encourage you to check out.

Is the movie perfect? Is the DC Extended Universe finally putting the Marvel Cinematic Universe to shame? Ummm to put it bluntly, no. The movie has some misses, which I believed I referred to as "more holes than swiss cheese" at some point, however much fun was had and very few movies can be truly amazeballs. If more movies had that ability, well then the prestige and quality of the great ones wouldn't be tat special would it.

Forewarned there are a few spoilers, however it's mainly minor things. We steered clear of major plot points as much as we could.

Today's Question: What did YOU think of the movie? We want to hear our listener's opinions and we care about YOU.
